After a journey of growth spanning 27 years, Zydus was seeking to evolve the brand in line with their ambitious growth plans - transforming from an Indian pharmaceutical company to a global life sciences company of reckoning. Hence there was a need for a new brand identity that supported their ambitions, reflected their evolution, and balanced their rich legacy with their aspiration for tomorrow.
Zydus as a company is focused on innovation that solves the unmet healthcare needs of the world. So, we worked towards an identity that went beyond just medicines, vaccines or pharmaceuticals. An identity that was centred around a core human purpose and provided a confluence of empathy with innovation.
The new logo is a stylised visualisation of two hearts coming together with ‘us’ at their core. Emphasising that everything they do is about ‘Us’ - an inclusive community of employees, patients, caregivers, partners, customers, investors and stakeholders. The new ideology combines empathy with dynamism. Brought to life through a new visual identity that delivers a future ready brand transformation, positioning Zydus as a more path-breaking, patient-centric & dynamic, global organisation.
We developed a meaningful visual language along with a guiding system where the brand elements of empathy and innovation can be implemented across multiple channels of communication. They showcase the world through the lens of Zydus while also demonstrating the far reaching impact the organisation has on people’s lives. Furthermore,
a packaging system was devised that united a diverse and extensive product portfolio with a look that is unmistakably Zydus.
